Couple of simple questions?

Hey guys,

Just got a got couple of simple questions regarding detailing.

1. After you clay a car, can you keep the clay or do you throw it away? (Mine is fairly clean)

2. When you seal a car, can you go over the headlights and window trim with the powerlock sealant?

1. yep .. I spray mine liberally with the clay lube and place in a sealed zip lock bag or old wax canister

2. yep ... sealants can be used on most any item and usually pure sealants like Powerlock wont stain. I do however prefer Plexus or DP Plex-All on headlamps/taillamps personally as it seems to make them crisper and new looking.

Keep your clay until you can no longer get a clean work surface from it. Sometimes this will last 1-2 vehicles and sometimes it'll last many times that; it really depends on how contaminated the cars finish is that you are claying.
