ok so i got my order last night
and now just a few questions

1. what is the big white pad for that came with the pc7424?

2. is the spacer needed?
id assume it would go ontop of that nut, between the backing plate and nut?

3. with 5.5" pads speed 5 for polishing and speed 3 for sealants and waxes correct? pretty sure about this one just double checking

4. whats speeds for the smaller 4" pads for polishes, sealants and waxes?

im pretty psyched that my order came and cant wait to play with my new toys tomorrow
hopefully pics to follow some time this weekend

ps, i also just happened to notice that the 5" backing plate comes with a washer as well, whereas i didnt notice one with the 3.5" plate

1. Probably a polishing pad.
2. Always use the spacer with any backing plate.
3. 5 or 6 for polishing, I always use speed 6. 2-3 for sealants and waxes.
4. Same as the 5.5" pads.
Happy Detailing!

:iagree::iagree:

If the big white pad has a black non removable backing plate, toss it !

The white pad is a polishing pad.....someone on here said to ditch it..I agree with them........go with Lake Country Pads........you will not be dissapointed.

i thought about using it under a bonnet for removing sealant and wax, but even having my new toy (the pc) i wound up doing it by hand

still entertaining the idea of using it under the bonnet for future for taking off sealant maybe, but waxing will be all hand application

I always wax by pc with blue or red pads. Seems to spread and level the wax better than by hand. Couple swipes of wax and I can cover 1-2 panels. I remove by hand. Tried the bonnet routine, but get better results by hand.
