I've noticed in several how-to articles on polishing that the tires are covered with canvas covers to prevent splatter. Are these available from Autogeek or does everyone just use newspaper or something else? What do you use?

They're called Wheel Covers or Wheel Maskers and you can get them at most PBE stores... Makes covering the wheels fast and easy and then you don't have to worry about getting splatter on the tires or rims and having to spend time wiping the splatter off... well worth the money in the time they save you and it's another little thing that shows your customers, and potential customers that you take extra steps to protect their investment...

I do the newspaper and tape thing. Once in a while I use bed sheets but my wife doesn't like it, the spatter scratches her skin.......

Mike, about how much do these go for? I like these wheel maskers and they look like they'd be pretty cheap.

In the past I've used newspaper. But I just fold it and hang it 90 deg. on the edge of the tire if I'm in the garage.

I use a large trash bag, slit it on one seam almost all the way down. Works like a champ.

I got mine at Harbor Freight, they were very cheap and work really well :xyxthumbs:

I think like 9 bux for a set of 4. They have a wire structure and work on all kinds of wheels. They even fit under very "flush" wheel fitments.

Yep, those are the ones:props:

I use black garbage bags. Reuseable, work great and cheap.
