Cquartz or Cquartz UK

Hi,

I've decide to put a Coating on my new Black Ford Focus.
I Live in Argentina, and here temperature isn't as cold as in North America or UK, it doesn't even snow...

Is there any difference between those products for me?
is there a new version of Cquartz, updated in 2014?

Cquartz UK was made for the UK market, as it flashes faster in colder climates. As I said, talk (e-mail) to Corey he can best guide you in the right direction.
 

Cquartz & CQUK are very similar with the latest updates to Cquartz. My understanding is they are basically equal. So it really comes down to the application temp and choosing the correct option. Based o what you have said I would say Cquartz.



But I am very interested in this possible new update to Cquartz as well.

 
The biggest difference between the two other then UK flashing much quicker is that UK contains a higher amount of silica (70%SiO2) and some say provides a more glossy finish. CQuartz however now contains Titanium for improved strength and chemical resistance, and some say it gives more of a glow. Both however are great products.

It's the other way around.
I chose Cquartz Classic because I talked to Corey from CarPro and he said Classic has a glossy finish. It's what I chose for my pearl white car because it wouldn't benefit from the deeper, glowing look UK makes so good on black cars.
 
I don't want to tell you that you are wrong, but it is possible you misunderstood Corey. If you simply read CarPro's website this is right from the item description for UK.

"The incredible 70% SiO2 with 99.9% purity formula is based on the same technology as the original Cquartz with some interesting tweaks. Other ceramic coatings have far less SiO2 (Quartz) in the product however CQUK has 70% SiO2 with 99.9% purity. This is the first ever coating which has this concentration! The pure quality ensures the most transparent glass coat film over the surface, which guarantees long lasting coating with extreme strength and water-repellency. Once the liquid meets the open air it cures and forms a ceramic quartz hard coating on the surface with extreme hydrophobicity and gloss beyond even that of CQuartz."

Doesn't necessarily mean that it is glossy while Classic is glowing.

The TiO2 actually gives Classic some more durability to be on par with UK and gives it that glassy-er look.

I hope I didn't misunderstand Corey. Not saying I didn't because it's possible I might have, but I'm speaking only from what I thought. Maybe he will chime in on the thread.

Honestly most people say to choose between Classic and UK by the environment you'll be applying it to.

This is certainly a very important factor as UK may not lead to the best user experience in warmer conditions... and regardless of the product chosen, the vehicle it is applied to will look stunning & be well protected.
 
SO CQuartz classic would be best for applying when it is 90 degrees out in this Georgia heat?

Yes... CQUK can be applied in warmer temps, however it is not the most pleasant user experience. CQ Classic will be easier to work with.
 
Anyone have a side by side comparison on the same panel?
I'm curious to see the difference between gloss and glow.

Can I Add one more question? what would be the difference between Cquartz and Black Label V2?
Is PBL as hard and good protection as Cquartz?

Black Label v2 is really to new to be able to give you good info as it was just released. I have played with PBL v2 and it was okay to apply and beads nice. But "hardness" & durability are still TBD.
 
OK, but what about PBL original?
Is it on the same level as Cquartz? I don't know why but I read of it been more like a long time sealant that a coating regarding to thickness..

Is that true?
