Wife got a new Camry dark Blue in color. It will be in parking lot 5 days a week and driven about 300 miles for work a week. Ive had experience with my tacoma using uk topped with Sic. 4 coats total and swore id never do that again lol. Ive used MOHS and it was a pleasure to use (used two coats) and was happy with results but unfortunately we traded that vehicle for the camry so no idea on longevity. Ive never used the dquartz. Id like to stick to two coats if possible but i really need some durability as well. I live in southeast us so no real concern about road salts and etc. Id like to also make that dark blue color pop as well!

I think I’ve fallen out of love with MOHS. It’s good for a 2-3 year coating but it can take a hit from things such as road salt when left on the paint for too long. I’ve switched to Pearl Nano X v2 or CCI Advanced for my customers and these coatings perform much better and I have a direct comparison between them.

In Late November I coated a Tesla with MOHS and a VW with Pearl Nano. Neither vehicle was washed during the winter until after our ice and snow storms so both vehicles were filthy and covered with road salts. I was able to get the Tesla beading water again but I had to do a decon wash and the lower panels never returned to 100%. The Tesla was garage kept and much cleaner than the VW yet, the VW’s coating didn’t skip a beat. I hit it with Touch-Less and followed up with a rinseless wash and the coating was like new.

I don’t think you can get your hands on Pearl Nano or CCI but I think ADS Quartz Pro is probably on par and with one layer it will outperform any of the options you listed. I’m done with two layer coatings, especially since there are plenty of one layer coatings with superior performance.

I've never heard of used ads I'll look them up.

ADS is Armour Detail Supply. I had decent performance with their first versions. Nothing extraordinary. I have not used their new V2 coatings but you may want to look into their Pro coating. You could always use my promo code MIKEG at any time to save you 10% off.

With regards to CarPro, there is no need to do 4 layers of UK/SiC. You would be fine with one layer of each.

I have used Dquartz and it has been hit or miss for me as a stand alone. It for sure does not like to be used with a primer polish so stick with a polish and panel prep. It also is not that hydrophobic so if that is important you can top it with SiC or Gliss 2.0.

You may want to look at Jade Obsidian as I have had good results with it. Believe it or not Adams Advanced Graphene is a good performer similar technology to Jade but Jade has more solids as it is their professional line. Other options I have had good results with are Nasiol ZR53 and Ethos Graphene Max.

For durability I've had the best outcome with Mohs EVO and CQUK 3.0.

For many years CQUK was my go-to coating. The durability was excellent, even with just one layer. It not only worked well on my daily driver, but I also applied it to both of my daughter's cars. Those vehicles sat out 24/7 in a dorm parking lot and were rarely washed during the semester. Despite all of that I saw at least three years of good performance, and I think one of those cars may have gone nearly four years.

Mohs EVO is doing pretty good for me as well. It's probably the easiest to apply coating I've ever used. Right now, I'm going into the third year on my wife's car which is driven heavily. The front of the vehicle doesn't have good water behavior at the moment, but it might just need a good deacon wash. The rest of the car beads/sheets great, is easy to clean, and still looks really good. I'm pretty happy with it.

I have ADS Quartz v1 on my car. It seems to be doing pretty well after a year. It wasn't as easy to apply as others, but looks good and seems to be holding up at this point. V2 supposedly improved the ease of application, but I've not tried it.

i put the ADS pro on and it was a pain really. Ive used gtechniq, carpro and gyeon and this was by far the hardest. I got a handprint on the first panel because i set the towel down on a area that was coated and where my hand was on the towel it left a perfect transfer from the heat i guess. It had to be polished off. Didnt wipe off as easily and had a few smudges that i had to go back polish and reapply. that was with two of us going behind each other. Now that its on it looks fantastic but i think ill use mohs or carpro next time.
