So I finally got to detail this guys EN from the discord group I used to be apart of (got kicked out for bring ME)

We tried setting it up last month but Mother Nature had other plans, even 2 week after the original date, had to reschedule but yesterday was THE day

This guy has another car drive, so I thought it wasn't going to be too bad...I couldn't have been more wrong

When he arrived I noticed it was dirty, no problem there but the wheels, although his winter set up, were TRASHED but I had no idea HOW TRASHED

Here's the process/products break down:

Tires & Wheels
-------------

-ADS Tire Cleaner
-Turtle Wax Decon wheel cleaner
-ADS Ghost Tire Coating
-TAC System Water Flow
-Multiple brushes

Decon/pre-wash/2BM
-------------------

-Bilt-Hamber Touchless
-Griot's Garage Iron Remover
-ADS Iron Remover
-CarPro Reset

LSP's (glass & body)
-----------------

-ADS Phobics
-ADS Glass Coating
-TAC System Water Flow

Ok...here we go

Upon entering The Bays Wheeling, front wheels kicked my butt, used both that Turtle Wax Rapid Decon wheel cleaner AND the Griot's Garage Iron Remover, even used my short brissel brush on those fronts but to no avail, atleast the rear wheels came out MUCH better though

Then I sprayed down the body with Griot's Garage Iron Remover and let dwell and boy did it, I thought the Wheeling PD were going to called, busting out the crime scene tape and all

Next I foamed down the car with Bilt-Hamber Touchless, let dwell, continued to bleed out, rinsed down. Finished up with a CarPro Reset 2BM, rinse and applied TAC System Water Flow to the grill, side skirts, rear valance and wiper cowl

Ok...next, detail area🤌

Sorry about the double post guys

Blood spatter everywhere! That’s a lot of iron. You did what you could on the front wheels, but this still looks super nice!

Do you have an acid wheel cleaner in your arsenal? I think a quality wheel acid would have gotten those front wheels up to your standard.

I don't but I'm going to need some, any suggestions on brand AND tips on how to use it, spray on hose off... agitation...

Yeah I’m ready to polish it, haven’t decided what I’m putting on it yet. Most likely DoDo Juice Orange Crush, I like that stuff. Right now it’s chilling out in the garage and is begging for spring to come.

Nice of him to tip you. Not too surprising, it’s wildly glossy.

Please update if you try an acid based wheel cleaner.

Gloves and some safety glasses and try not to breathe it in, agitation would be good on a test spot first.

You were thrown out of a car club??
The car looks great now. Good job

The car looks great. Glad to hear the owner was happy!

I keep a bottle of Meguiars Hot Wheels Chrome Wheel Cleaner on hand for just this type of situation. I think it was Eldo2K who filled me in on the fact it's a slightly milder version of their pro-grade acid wheel cleaner. You can get it in lots of stores.

Fortunately, I've only had to use it a couple times, and even then only on very stubborn spots. The good news is it works really well. The bad? The stuff is pretty nasty so I'll only use it outdoors. I wear gloves, and I make sure the application, agitation, and rinse time is as short as humanly possible. I rinse the area heavily to make sure none of it is left behind.
