The temperature has been below freezing for the last few weeks in Vermont and I haven't been able to wash my Subaru. I took advantage of today's warmer weather (39F) and performed a rinseless wash in the garage.

What is a rinseless wash?

A rinseless wash is a type of vehicle washing which does not require running water. Rinseless washing not only conserves water but it allows vehicles to be washed during winter months. Since running water is not required vehicles can easily be washed using warm water in a heated garage, even when the outside temperature is below freezing.

I approve of this video.

When it started, I was saying to myself... "Someone needs a headlight restoration" lol

I dig the peaceful and calm music! Great job!

I lived at Highgate Center just North East of you when working at Ben and Jerry's back around 2000. We had a real estate guy that had a late 70 early 80's Suburban in perfect condition. I asked him how he kept that thing from turning into a rust bucket. His reply was that he never washed it and it never thawed in the winter. Once it warmed up he gave it a thorough cleaning. Made perfect sense. I could not resist and washed my truck top to bottom weekly. I created some awesome skating rinks back then.

Excellent video as always. The videos you do are top notch. Thanks for posting and sharing.

Wow! Definitely couldn't call it waterless with the amount of product you and that Kwazar put down, lol!

Great video! Thanks for taking the time to make it, edit it, and post it. It takes more time than I think people realize to do it correctly. Looking forward to next how-to, write-up, or show-n-shine! Happy detailing!

nice job picking the tunes for the video, the american dollar rock!

I try to clean the windows and lights a few times a week to maintain visibility. I felt the calm music was very fitting for this rinseless wash video since no power tools (polisher, pressure washer, steam cleaner, vaccum) were involved. Thank you for the compliment.

Sadly I haven’t washed my Subaru since November and have made a few snowboarding trips to Jay Peak since then. I had to bust up some ice in the garage before I started washing. I try to clean the fenders out before pulling into the garage to minimize the amount of snow tracked and minimize the risk of ice forming.

I am using a generic one liter double action spray bottle. I believe that they are identical to the Kwazar bottles but cost a fraction of the price. If you search for double action or double mist spray bottle, you find a few companies selling them.

Thank you very much. I don’t really get a chance to detail during the winter due to having an unheated garage. Once springtime arrives I hope to be posting videos more regularly.

Looked like it was a Kwazar spray bottle with the dual action trigger (almost sounds like a karate action figure, doesn't it? LOL)
Kwazar Mercury Pro + 1 Liter Spray Bottle (33 oz.)

Have an awesome day!!! :dblthumb2:

I have a few Kwazar dual action bottles and a few no-name dual action bottles. They perform the same however the colors are limited. Kwazar bottles offer a few different colors for the sprayer and bottom ring which allows for easier product identification.

I would have had serious hand cramps if I used a traditional spray bottle for this video. I should really invest in a pressure sprayer but I haven’t gotten around to it yet since I only perform a few rinsless washes a year.

I started getting all the detailing supplies and camera gear ready a little after 11:00AM and had the thread posted just after 4:00PM. The Rinseless wash itself took a little over an hour and the rest of the time was spent filming, editing and uploading. I get quite a bit of practice editing between my detailing videos and my snowboarding videos.

Thank you for watching.

nice job picking the tunes for the video, the american dollar rock!

Thanks. This was my first time listening to The American Dollar and I look forward to playing more of their music.

Great video!

Thank you. I hope the video helps others wash their vehicles in the wintertime when two bucket washes aren’t always an option.

Nicely done. I enjoy watching your videos.

Thank you very much. I can’t wait to film some paint correction details once springtime rolls around.
