Minor Paint Correction

Single stage machine polish removes light swirls, scratches, oxidation and water spots from the paintwork restoring gloss. Machine polishing is performed in addition to a decontamination detail and removes 40% - 60% of paint defects.

Products:
Detailers Pro Rinsless Wash and Gloss
Detailers Pro Gloss Tire Gel
Optimum Car Wash
Optimum Power Clean 3/1
Menzerna Final Finish
Speedy Prep Towel - Fine Grade
Ultima Trim and Tire Guard
Wolfgang Deep Gloss Sealant 3.0

Just curious. Why only 40-60% correction for a one step? That seems awfully low IMO.

Good work on the Prius!

What are your thoughts on menzerna FF? I'm wondering how it stacks up against other finishing polishes.

I Love your videos, keep them coming...!

Thank you. I am pretty excited about a potential black Subaru STI paint correction video in the near future.

The level of correction really depends on the vehicle and how severe the paint defects are. Yes 40%-60% correction is low for a well maintained vehicle but for a neglected or "hacked" vehicle the level of correction seems appropriate. In the past, I have been able to achieve over 90% correction using the same process on vehicles that are well maintained.

If you have the time, please take a look at this GMC Denali HD that I performed a Minor Paint Correction on the other month. I would rather undersell and over deliver to a client rather than have them thinking they didn't get their moneys worth. The Denali really needed a 2 or 3 step paint correction and the vehicle was only scheduled for a Decontamination Detail.

Great job again . like the way your vids are done .

Thanks. I try to show all of the steps involved without going overboard.

Thank you for watching.

To be honest, Menzerna is the only polish that I have used. When I first started detailing I bought Menzerna polishes and they have never let me down.

Idk just my opinion: black paint is hard to work with

(Beautiful work, however and good luck!)

Same on that with Menzerna products . Does the job .

Thank you. Black is definitely an unforgiving color when it comes to paint defects. I polished a black 2012 Subaru Outback the other month and was able to remove all of the swirls and most of the RIDS. Subaru paint has soft clear coat so it corrects nicely but maintaining the soft black paint is different story.

This is my preferred steamer, small yet powerful and long run time.

Love it

Trevor, as a film and movie aficionado, I have to say that if Detailing does not pan out (which I am actually sure of the opposite) that you would have an easy transition as a cynematographer. You definitely have a flare for camera angles, transition tempo etc... You provide just enough. Although a few steps could have been incorporated or additional details shown, I think you did a wonderful job! Very reminiscent of some MTV cribs reveal with the camera panning and the techno type music.

Great job, and looking forward to seeing more

I've been considering that exact steamer because I think it could come in handy for more than just cleaning a car, but I would be very careful with the steam around the electronics in the dash, and the speakers in the door. I could be mistaken, but I think that you're still introducing some moisture into places where it could do some damage. I think I'd hit the towel with some steam and gently wipe it across the surface instead.

Thank you for the compliment. I cannot take all of the credit though. My brother helps me out on some of the shots while I am detailing the vehicle. I spent quite a bit of time honing my editing skills on my snowboarding movies last season. Each time I edit a movie I learn a little bit more and discover ways to streamline the editing process. I try to pack as much energy and suspense into the video that the genre will allow. I can use electronic songs that have faster beats and harder drops in my snowboarding videos than I can in my detailing videos.

Here is the Interior Rejuvenation Detail video from the Toyota Prius. I wanted to film a "how to" video on cleaning upholstery with a hot water carpet extractor. The first extraction pass is with a traffic lane cleaner and the second extraction pass is with an acid fiber rinse.

Here is a before and after picture of the seat featured in the Toyota Prius extractor video. The upholstery in this vehicle was a totally different color after the Interior Rejuvenation Detail was complete.
