Cruisin' Elwood On Route 66 Car Show - Pics

This past Saturday was the Cruisin' Elwood On Route 66 Red Carpet Car Show & Cruise through Autobahn Country Club, Route 66 Raceway, and Chicagoland Speedway.

The car show started at the Elwood village hall and from there we got a police escort to the Autobahn Country Club for a quick lap around the track. Then it was over to Route 66 Raceway for a run down the fire lane at the drag strip, and we finally finished in the garage area at Chicagoland Speedway.

It was suppose to be a pretty big show, but the weather that morning and the forecast weren't in the show's favor. Ended up only being about 100 cars in what turned out to be a beautiful Saturday.

Didn't even know about the show and its in my backyard, LOL! That 71-72' GSX was really sad, I know there's the whole "survivor" car thing but that really applies to old and faded, not rusted out and holey, LOL! That white Chrysler was more like it and thanks for all the pics, very cool!
