I actually never thought I would wake up and say this is next year. Not wait till next year. Even though they lost I am grateful to have been to a game this year with my dad, and against the Cards the Cubs fiercest rival. Memories like that are worth the price of admission.

I wasn't a fan of either team, but really enjoyed watching two teams with very long championship dry spells.

I moved here from Detroit back in Dec of 2009 and don't root for any Chicago teams but I did want to see the Cubs win this one but it wasn't without drama. IMO Joe Maddon lucked out a couple times but like they say, it isn't all skill, some luck is involved in winning.

Living in Ohio, had it been any team but the Cubs, I would have rooted for the Indians. My grandfather grew up in Chicago and told me stories of how he'd sneak into games as a child. Wish he was here to see this.
