Custom Mat Protection

I have a set of black mats with silver trim. My concern is how to keep the SXT letters that are centered on the mats clean. Is there a scotch guard or some other protector I can use?

Helpful Hint!
This is something I learned a month ago to protect mats. At home Depot or Lowes buy the clear sticky plastic for heavy traffic areas. It's on a roll. Apply to your mats and trim the edges with a razor or scissors. You can replace it every month or when ever you like. Give me some feed back on this idea!
