Here's Jeff using the SCANGRIP Sunmatch light to look for high spots of coating residue and if discovered, remove them.

These are a few shots I took which duplicate the BEFORE shots I took showing where there were issues with the paint.

Comments and questions always appreciated...

Mike, which connector did you use for the iBrid Nanos(Rotary,3mm,12mm)? Did you have to swap from using the rotary to the 3mm or 12mm connectors for any sections? Thanks!

Looks great! Love the color and black accent on the hood. In this case it's a guarantee that this paint looks better than new.

The custom color didn't hit me right away but when I saw the custom crafted 67' hood scoop and black stinger I thought it was Marlboro red from a 67', am I right Mike?

Jim picked his car up on Friday, January 6th. Jim entered the car in a car show on Sunday, January 8th. This was the 11th annual "Open Classic Car & Truck Show" in Sunrise, Florda.

I'll have to check on the color but Jim says the hood scoop is off a Ford Mustang. He's not sure of the year.

Maybe some of our Mustang experts can identify it?

This says it all. Great job!

I guess I need to look closer, it's a Cobra Jet scoop and I call myself a Corvette fan, terrible😏

Looks great. What does a "high spot" look like after the coating is put on? Would one describe it as butter on a half slice of bread and half the side doesn't have it?

Ever seen an oil slick and the rainbow effect? Thats what a high spot usually looks like. Its darker and has a rainbow effect of sorts.

The Rupes system is top shelf, couldn't believe the finish after compounding.
The hard work paid off " Best in Show"

John

I was at that show!

And I remember seeing that car and noticing the paint looked really good. I didnt realize it was done thursday night!

There were lots of nice vettes there, but few with paint that was swirl and defect free like that car and my 97 Camaro SS (which got no love from the judges).
