Should you use the PC backing plate washer with a cyclo cleaning brush? Just want to be sure.

I do to improve the clearance of the shroud

I do not think a washer would be required as the plastic of the brush serves the same function

I've never used a compression washer when attaching a Cyclo brush to a PC type tool.

Remove your backing plate and leave the compression washer on the backing plate. (don't let it drop off onto the ground and get lost)

Then spin the brush on and tighten till snug and you're ready to start machine scrubbing.

There are 4 plastic nubbins at the base of the threads on the back of the brush and they simply squish out of the way and you're left with a plastic to metal attachment that seems to work just fine.

Great, that's exactly what I experienced. I tried the washer first, but didn't like the way it was bending backward when it contacted those little nubs, so I pulled the brush back off and removed the washer and put it back on the plate.

Thanks for the confirmation.
