Hey folks,
Its time to take off the winter coat, and put the summer shine back on the trailblazer. It has been 6 months since last detail. The blazer sits outside 24/7 year round, and gets hand washed every 2 weeks in the winter, and once a week in the summer. It is usually parked about 6 or 7 yards from a fairly busy road.
We had a really heavy winter here this year, and even though the blazer has only been driven a couple times a week all winter long, its pretty grungy now.
I felt my last detail was lacking something, and was hoping I could get some suggestions such as, what order should the products be applied.
Here is what I have on hand

  • 7424XP
  • LC Yellow, Black, White, Orange, Lambswool
  • Microfiber & Terry bonnets
  • Pinnacle XMT 1 & 3, Carnauba Finishing glaze, Crystal Mist, Bodywork shampoo, Paintwork cleansing lotion
  • P21S Carnauba wax
  • Wolfgang Deep gloss sealant 3.0
  • Mothers Detailing Clay

The last detail included Pinnacle Shampoo, Mothers Clay, Paintwork cleansing lotion(white pad), Wolfgang Deep gloss sealant 3.0(black pad), applied in that order.
Blazer has some medium waterspots all over that the last detail didn't fully remove, esp on the windows. Could I be using the wrong pad, product combo?

The product is not aggressive enough for removing water spot etching out of paint.

Two types of water spots

Type I - Mineral deposits on the paint
Type II - Etcing in the paint

For paint, use a more aggressive pad and product.

For glass, get a dedicated glass polish

:)

It's just been 2 weeks since last wash!

What would you recommend for the paint, out of what I have on hand? Or do I need to purchase something else?
