Hello everyone,i been away for awhile establishing my detail business & realize that the only way to make REAL MONEY at this to get s dealership contract. I started at a dealership years ago & have been through several. Now its time for me to be THE BOSS! I have the formula i.e. numbers game to solidify profits when negotiating a contract with a dealer but not sure how to approach them.

do i A) send out letterheads with all my info as to what i offer

do i B) just walk in and ask to speak to the GM & start talkn

do i C) both

I have an inside scoop of how the numbers should go if they sell a certain amount of cars,i have the equipment/knowledge/partial staff etc to start up. I jus need a professional approach to entice them. I also have a few ways to separate myslef from the common shop that maybe faultering or lacking in the detail dept.

oh yeah garage keepers & workmans comp insurance

any advice would help! Thanks

Feed back please

I personally never have and probably wont approach any dealerships just from hearing what people have said here and from what I have heard around town (profit wise).

BUT - if you have found a way to make good money with dealerships - I would personally go in with a personalized package for each dealership including your professional letterhead, a few flyers of your services and products used, and maybe even a usb with pics of your work..... a package that may cost you 7 bucks each, but if it pulls you good solid revenue for the future - why not?!?!?!?

Good luck man and let us know how it goes :dblthumb2:

I actually work for a dealership NOW,so i see alot of cracks in the system Things they don't do,things i can improve, things i can offer a dealership thats lucrative to them! Im in the process of creating a proposal now.
$3000 a week is a good salary. You can make that if the numbers are right

Thanks,i will!

best way to make money from them is to get the work. Then farm it out or get workers just to do them.
If you see any real good workers you keep them for your shop. The rest only work when you have the dealer work.
make your 20% off of them and your doing good.1/2 my jobs are for cash so I pay them with that cash then dealer pays me check.
thats how I hide my cash jobs. And the subs/workers love the cash.most are out of work any way.
I pay them 40.00 a car and they do 4 a day thats 160.00 cash for them and 120.for me 40.00 for supplys and 80.00 in my hand per day per guy .We charge 70.00 for dealer cars with 10 per week min or I still get my 700.00 per week lol but they never run out or cars. Like the other guy said its all in the #'s gettting the work frist then try and make some thing better to make some thing than sit on your ---

Im impressed guys - always steered clear...... but an extra 3000 a week or even 120 a day extra is impressive - may need to take some notes from you guys! I have been relying mainly on basic cleanings for the mornings and big jobs in the afternoons. Basic cleanings pay my guys for the day - and the big job in the afternoon goes in the bank..... normally anywhere from 200 to 500 a day - but I can always use the extra 3000 a week lol!

The numbers has to be correct when you bid on the contract. If your not up on the way dealerships pay or how many cars they sell a month you will LOSE!! Most dealerships will exaggerate the numbers to make YOU think they doing better than they actually is.

Wow, its like that.......:xyxthumbs:

Its the same way when you offered me to CANCEL the growth of my business to help you enlarge your eco-whatever it is your doing! I dont owe you anything! I dont even know you. Why would a high paid engineer need help with anything. You already have a HI END JAG & a house with a innovative detail van.

WHY WOULD YOU NEED HELP FROM ME?:dblthumb2:
