Decals and polishing

I am assuming the decal on the back of a chevy cant be polished? Just wanted to know becuase its above the paint not sure if they put it and then clear.

Ive polished the decals on the Ford King Ranch before with the PC and XMT 360. It looked like there were swirls in the decals, well they were gone after 1 pass with the 360.
