Alright, so once you've cleaned your engine bay, shined up those wheels, and polished those exhaust tips, it's time to check your car, decide what kind of wash you want to do, and start by washing that gas cap. These are the next parts of the Exterior Car Detail series.

Hope you enjoy!

Haha got to have some fun while making videos ;)

Believe it or not, that is the actual condition of that car. No leaves were planted for the video :D See what I did there? Planted? huh huh? Ok, I'll walk myself out now.

Thanks for watching :)

Good video

For drought stricken western states, the politics will decide the method you use. The new reality.

Well, let me ask this Q.

If you had a garage. And it had a drain and an inside hose. Could you wash your car inside where no one could see?

Doable or not?

You can still wash your car here, the only rule I have read of is that the hose has to have a shut off nozzle. However the price of water is going to go up, and there will be additional fines on our bills if we do not cut our water usage by 25 percent. It is going to be different rules for different water districts but that is pretty what the new rules are going to be like. That is why I have been experimenting with Rinse less wash techniques and cutting back on watering the lawn and garden. CA periodically goes through draughts so hopefully this one will break next year.

In time, they will tax your water consumption if they see people are not voluntarily complying. I'd learn rinseless washing forwards and backwards.

Enjoying the videos. Being in the West I tend to stretch the boundaries of rinseless and waterless (so far, so good - fingers crossed).

If I lived in a water restricted state I would:

1. do a self-directed PW at a local car wash
2. drive home into my garage and do a RW
3. finish up with a WW if needed and spray wax/sealant to complete the wash

Good luck and preserverance to those who live west of the Mississippi River.
