Car came in to me with TONS of swirls. It HURT to see this beautiful black sports-car in such bad shape. But I knew I was going to be the one to bring this car back from dead!

Work began with a nice cold shower at 6AM using a 1:2 ratio of Meguiar's Gold Class Shampoo and water. I rolled the car back into the garage and got a better view of all the damage.
Clay-bar'd the car first-of.

OUCH!
Then went on with a LCC Orange Pad and Menzerna Super Intensive Polish. I love this product! It really cut through a lot of the larger swirls and left the car smooth! There was a little light marring but nothing a softer polish couldn't take care of.

The car was really coming back to life! Swapped out the orange pad for a LCC White Pad and went over the car with Menzerna Nano Polish. Another great polish! Leaves the car squeaky clean! Cleans up the clear bringing back clarity and shine! I don't know how I was ever able to detail without it.

Slapped on a LCC Gray Finishing Pad and went over the car with JetSeal109. Let that sit for 20 minutes, wiped it off and waited another 15 minutes then applied a second coat. After another 20 minutes I wiped the second coat off and went about re-applying PoorBoy's Natural Look over the tires/wheel-wells.
Then with another gray finishing pad I went over the car with XMT Carnuba Finishing Glaze which I let sit for a couple minutes before wiping off.
Then went on P21S! The car was ready for a drive!

nice work....looks good. just got my menzerna last week...cant wait to work with it

Very nice, its amazing what the right products and a bit of knowledge are capable of! Amazes me people let their cars get so bad and not think anything of it. Thanks goodness we have all of you great detailers out there to fix this swirly world!:D

Nice recovery. What machine are you using? But two things are sticking out like a sore thumb ... exhaust tips :p Great job.

Good job My car is clean. Did you use a foam gun for the washing process, with the Meguiars gold class?:D

You did a real nice job on that messed up paint. Can't understand how someone who seems to enjoy nice cars, the350 Z, can let the paint get in such lousy condition. I guess are these the people who keep the detailers in business.:D

That looks awesome! You totally turned that car around. Was the owner washing it with one of the brushes at the coin wash or something or did the swirls just show up from using rough towels on it?

Yes, yes, I know, I missed the exhaust tips. :( I ran out of time! Or at least that's what my excuse is. I have NO idea how the car got that way. It had 70k miles so it has seen its way around. I'm betting it's also seen quite a few neglectful owners as well. Poor car! I just hope this new owner is going to KEEP it clean. If not, at least come back and have me keep up with keeping it clean. :)

I'm using a Porter Cable 7424. I've been detailing for not long (a little under 2 years) and want to get some more experience with it before I jump over to an orbital.

might want to step up to a rotary sometime, it will cut your workload in half.

great work dude, I use menzerna myself.
