My buddy had a line-x bed liner sprayed,
there is some over spray...They said for
him to use denatured alcohol to remove it.
I didn't think this stuff was safe
for clear coat, is it?
•On the occasions that I’ve used denatured
alcohol as a cleaner/degreaser/etc. {yes, it
is a really versatile substance} I didn’t notice
where it caused any visible harm to BC/CC
paint systems.
-Yet despite its versatility, Denatured Alcohol
is
extremely flammable.
•As such, (and that’s reason enough, IMO):
-I feel denatured alcohol is better suited
for use as a fuel for camp stoves, etc.
-Why risk having a chance spark, set-off
unwanted fireworks? There are numerous
other, less volatile, “paint cleaners” from
which to choose—>AGO has tons of ‘em.
