I feel a slight dent on the edge of the barrel. It's hardly noticeable but I can feel it. Would you go to the dealership or a dedicated tire store

Dealership will likely just try and sell a replacement .... you could always look online and gauge the price of a replacement versus any repair.

Even if its not a structural issue you would be wise to have it rebalanced..

Dealership might handle it for you but they'd just sub it out.. go direct..

My wholesale price would be $60 for that. Includes pick up and drop off, repair and balance. Just so you have an idea of what you should be charged. We'd charge the customer around $120 depending on the wheel.

Had the same promblem with my charger I had.first set of tires the installer showed me on the balancer machine. It didn't alter the ride and I lived with it.

Thanks for the replies. I'm hoping that if theres nothing wrong with the bead and it doesn't need balanced that it doesn't need repaired

Actually if I remember it was the front right.we ended up putting it in the back.

I would've never noticed it if I wasn't running my fingers over it while applying wax

I think it's a wheel flaw from the people who make the wheel for dodge.

I've had wheels repaired here locally a couple of times and it was worth it. Paid about $100 each time but on a $400 wheel it makes sense to me. Bent wheels certainly don't behave the same as true round and a decent repair shop can make them better. I have never been an advocate of rebalancing one wheel because it's bent or flawed in some way. If i can't get it fixed to my staisfaction i simply replace it.
