I first polished this car when it was new to remove all of the swirls caused by the dealers poor washing techniques. After 2 years it was starting to get a lot of little scratches but it was still not as bad as when it was new.

Gary the car looks like it belongs on a post card! Very nice job! I can tell you are a man with attention to detail, very nice. :props:

awesome job!........looks like it's supposed look....gotta love black

Wow looks so bad arse! Damn the tapping off must have taken forever?

That's the nice thing about the vette, the hard paint helps swirls from returning easily, like on a honda. Great job.

Great job Gary. Nothing looks better then black when it's done right, and you have certainly done it right!

Nice work Gary! Car looks better than new again! :dblthumb2:

Amazing Job Gary. Your detail put the icing on the cake for me, we chatted about po85rd when you detailed a Nissan 350z that was red, a while ago. I will add menzerna po85rd to my next order.:props:

Great job, it's perfect. If you ever need a hand, just give me a yell, I'm just accross town.

WOW! The Z06 looks amazing. Keep up the great work Gary.

Nice, Gary! I'm surprised - for 2 years since its last polish, that paint was in pretty good shape!

Thanks for all the nice comments!

Even though the paint was in pretty good shape to begin with I ended up spending almost as much time on this correction as one with paint in much worse shape. After getting all the light scratches out with PO85RD using a LC Kompressor Lite Cutting pad I did another pass over the whole car with PO85RD with a LC Kompressor Jeweling pad.

I'm very happy with how the car paint looked considering it had been 2 years since I polished it. It really didn't have any swirls in the paint just some random scratches that were starting to bug me in certain lighting.

When I purchase the car new the dealer had it for almost a month and it was in their showroom. It didn't look bad under their showroom lighting but when I got it home and went over it with my halogens it already had lots of swirls. The dealer did more damage to the paint with their poor washing techniques in a month than I did in 2 years.

Even though the car's not a dailey driver I have probably washed it about 50 times since I purchased it. It's always been washed using a white Schmitt and Poorboy's Super Slick and Studs. Almost totaly dried using a leaf blower than I very light go over any remaining water spots with a microfiber.

I didn't time how long it took me to tape it up but of all the cars I have this one requires the most taping. I think I was out in the garage a couple of hours taping the night before I starting polishing it.
