Detail Fest Massachusetts Style

Hi everyone,
I know that we were trying to put some type of mini Detail Fest together here in Massachusetts awhile back. I know for myself life got in the way of trying to do this, and I know that SeaJay had the same thing happen.

Well, I am putting this out there again.

I spoke to my family (grandparents) about having a small number of people get together at their house in Bolton, MA. They have big driveway, shade, space for a bunch of cars, plus a garage that I am sure we could use if need be. They also have a pool and grill. Big pluses.

I was thinking that if 10-12 people were to come that would probably take care of people in the area who might be interested.

I think that if I were to give 2 weeks notice to anyone interested that should free up anyone who needs to schedule the time off. I am thinking that Wednesday July 27th starting early afternoon until about 8 or so? As soon as I have an idea of how many people interested I can firm up the details with my family and move forward with the people interested.

I would like it to be very low key, fun, and informative. We can wash, detail, grill burgers and hot dogs, and jump in the pool.

I think that on Monday July 25th we can confirm weather and confirm the gathering.

So, what do you think?

I'm thnking that it would work better on a weekend seeming as most of us usually work during week, especially in the morning, including myself.
 
I understand that a lot of people work during the week, but I am off on Wednesday and Thursday as I work in the restaurant business.

That is why I was thinking of early afternoon, until 8 or so so that if you had to work during the day you could come out for a couple of hours.

It doesn't look like anyone is interested so who knows what might happen.

I wouldn't put my Grandparents in a potentially dangerous situation. You never know what kinda freak would "sign up" to join only to be casing the place out

Not trying to rain on your parade, but I just thought I should throw this out there

I myself would like to attend just for the sole puropse of making fun of how y'all talk
 
Better off having it at a shop or Hooters or something of that nature.
 
Sorry Don, I just got the message with the link now. I've been away from the computer for awhile and just trying to keep up with the forum on my iPhone.

This week is really busy for me. I sold my house and am moving out over the next week, in between remodeling my new bathroom, and detailing.
