This Jimmy belongs to the owner of the BMW 325i that I did. He was so pleased with the Beemer that he wanted his daily driver done. When I picked it up all he said was "I want it to shine". Well as this is a daily driver and it had very little, no I'll change that to absolutely no TLC. This was actually his Mom's vehicle and when she bought a new one he bought this to use everyday so as to not put too many miles on his 3/4 ton pickup. The vehicle was not abused, it just recieved no attention. Basically he just got in it and drove it. It was very dirty but I figured I could definately make it look better and hopefully make it "shine".
Well here's what I did:
Tires/Wheels: Cleaned with DP Gel Wheel Cleaner and a Black Schmitt. The wheel wells were really really really dirty so no brainer here, they got the mighty ARO. When I sprayed the ARO the dirt and grime just rolled off. I also used an old Black Schmitt on the wells. The wells were then dressed with Stoners Trim Shine. Now for dressing the tires...well I know saying how much I Love this stuff is like beating a dead horse but hell I'm going to hit him again! I ABSOLUTELY LOVE Surf City Beyond Black Tire Pro. I did something a little different this time with it and it only made me love it even more (if that is even possible). Since SC Beyond Black is soooo thin you tend to lose some everytime you use it when you pour it on the Cobra Flex Foam applicator. Well I decided to put some in a small sprayer I have and man did that work awesome. Absolutely no waste and you could get exactly the amount you want on the applicator. OK enough of my man crush on Surf City.
Engine: The engine was really dirty so instead of the Megs APC it got the mighty ARO. So the process was rinse, ARO, rinse and dress with Stoners Trim Shine.
Glass: Inside and out got Stoners Invisible Glass with Cobra MF and WW. Well I must say that this is probably the last detail you will see from me that doesn't include Surf City Clearly Better Glass Cleaner. I finally got my refill with my AG order and gave away the SIG I had left. OK so my Surf City man crush wasn't completely over

Trim: The trim got the usual Poorboys Trim Restorer. If you haven't used this product you need to.
Interior: The inside got DP Total Interior Cleaner and boy was it needed and boy did it do an awesome job. All surfaces were protected with DP Total Surface Protectant. I shampooed the mats with a mixture of Water and Woolite diluted 10:1. I then used the PC with a green aqua brush to clean and then rinsed. After rinsing I used the shop vac to extract the water. Finally door jambs got DG 951.
Wash: I used the AG foam gun with a mixture of 2oz of DG 901 and 1oz of 4 Star Shampoo. I used a rinse bucket and a White/Yellow Schmitt. The bugs got the combo of Poorboys Bug Squash diluted 2:1 and the Pinnacle Safe Scrub. There was so much road grime on the lower panels that I pre-soaked with Stoners Tarminator before I washed with the foam gun. That really helped as the grime just came right off with the yellow side of the Schmitt.
Paint: The paint was really oxidized and had a lot of water spots on the hood so I decided on Menzerna Intensive Polish with an orange LC pad via the PC at speed 5.5. I know it may have been a little over the top to use Menzerna on a daily driver but he wanted it to shine and I had all the confidence that the Menzerna IP would get the job done. Next I used Poorboys EX sealant. I will say that I have used the Poorboys on 2 other vehicles and really liked it, however both of those vehicles were white. It looked good on the dark blue of the Jimmy but I think some of my other sealants might have made it look a little better. I think I'll stick to the Poorboys for lighter colors, but I do like the usability of the Poorboys and the slickness it gives. I applied it with the PC with a blue LC pad @ speed 3.
