Detail Kitchen Counter Tops

I forgot and did want to mention to use Caution using Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant in your house. I spelt a little bit on the tile floor when I was doing the counter top. It left the floor really slick to the point of being dangerious. I had to really scrub the floor to try and get it off. Wolfgang DGPS leaves the surface slicker then any product I have ever used.

I did mine with EX-P and it didn't last very long. I'm guessing all the steam from the shower must degrade it pretty fast.

That reminds me of the episode of Home Improvement where Randy has a party at the house, so Tim puts together a wood dance floor and brings home a big Binford polisher. He said he put ten coats of wax on the floor, and the girl Randy likes ends up falling and breaking her arm on the floor. That was classic!
 
Excellent work on the kitchen! I like to do projects around the house, I've laid a tile floor, a laminate wood floor and a cork floor, plus lots of painting and other small projects. But doing the kitchen is beyond my abilities. Great job! Want to come to Dallas and remodel my kitchen? :-)

Reddwarf, Thanks for the complement but I will pass on coming to Dallas to remodel your kitchen. I have a whole list of projects I need to do around my house. The most work in my kitchen remodel was actually demolishing the old ceiling and completely redoing it. When they built the house they lowered the ceiling in the kitchen way down and put in an old plastic dome in the ceiling. I opened it all up and trayed the ceiling. I thought it would be an easy job but when I opened it up I had move ductwork and a lot of electrical. It took me over a month just to do the ceiling. Here is a picture of how it came out.

That ceiling looks really nice, my upstairs shower leaked to downstairs and I just started to rip things out and I may have to re-do the ceiling on the basement so thanks for the heads up. I got my work cut out for the next few months.

Gary you did an amazing job with your house, you got MAD SKILLS DUDE!!! :righton:
