Im looking forward to opening a detail shop and got pretty much all the accessories. But theres just one problem... not completely sure how the prices should work and be? What are good fair rates for customers and still make a profit?

I don't have my own detailing business, but it's a pretty easy formula to figure out how much to charge and how to make a profit.

(Profit) = (Amount Charged for Detail) - (Expense per Detail)

First find out how much you want/need to make and plug that into (Profit). Next find out exactly how much all materials, gas, utilities, etc it costs for you to do per detail, and plug that into (Expense per Detail). From there you can find out approximately how much to charge to make the kind of profit you want/need.

The only way your shop will be profitable is to charge an hourly rate. What that rate is depends on the quality of work you produce and the amount of demand there is for your services.

Good Luck on your new business venture :props:

you can do what i did and just go around to the detail shops in your area and see what they are charging with what services and the kind of business they are getting with the combo
