Detail Shop Horrors

Curiostiy i know has gotten to us all, So lets see who has stopped into local detail shops.
what did you find
Did they know the products
Was it clean and neat.
Did you talk to anyone about services.


Please do not post the names of the companies.
 
I found a local shop that was voted best auto detail in town via a campaign supported by a local TV station... kind of like "liking" something on FaceBook... any how... I was driving by one day, pulled in and immediately saw an employee pick up what looked like a microfiber off of the ground and continue to wipe or dry the vehicle.
 
Had a buddy working at local detail shop.

* Guy was scrubbing wash area with brush .GT 500 pulls in guy goes straight from ground to GT 500 with the brush.

* Manager ( also local mobile guy and now doing Ferrari's at local Ferrari shop ) Mixed Mean Green and some other chemical to clean carpets and lost Lexus contract for company

* Manager (same guy as above) tried to clay a car dry.

* Manager (yes same guy) applied turtle wax to 599 there was more wax in the vents and rubber than on the car.

Well the key factor is what he mixed with mean green. My buddy said that one of the guys said he was mixing mean green with something. The outcome was what looked like bleach they said.
 
Oh I'm a mixer a mixer of water! I have like 4 bottle for leather, carpets, engines, wheels, lol everything!
 
mine was took demon with 40 year old original paint to local detailer and when i went to check on progress the guy never washed or clayed the car before he took the buffer to it as well as burned through the paint and made very spin spots in others splatter was all over the car and is still on the car in some spots....I am trying to salvage the roof, doors, fenders, and trunk right now as they look halfway decent just has no shine and detailer said paint was dead there was nothing he could do for it when i picked car up
