Hello AutoGeeks!
Just dropping in to say hi and introduce myself briefly. I've been lurking and reading here for a long, long time, and finally decided to join up so I could take full advantage of everything the forum and community has to offer and to share my own experiences and knowledge.
I've been "detailing" my own cars and cars of family and friends for about 10 years, but only recently really got into the paint correction side of things when I bought a car with the worst paint job I'd ever seen...
Yeah.... that's how they delivered it to me. Now, that is a very very very close-up shot of the paint (camera lens was less than 1.5 inches from the paint, so the size of the imperfections is exaggerated, but it's TERRIBLE!). Two years later, I'm STILL trying to get the paint flat without stripping all of it off the car. *sigh*
So, I've been experimenting with various methods of buffing and color/wet sanding on my own car and learning a lot, and finally got my first paying paint correction gig on a black Mercedes not long ago. Client was ECSTATIC with the results!
Anyways... I'm Dan. And I'm a detailing addict. Where do I sign up for the 12-step program?
:buffing:
