Detailed - 2009 Nissan Murano SL

This car had some really bad water spots from Florida's horrible well water.
Took me about 8 hours, and the process included Wash, clay, polish passenger side (drivers side was fine and didn't have water spots), and wax and apply dressings. Feel free to leave me any feedback, I'm always looking to improve.

Looks nice...........No fair, there is sunshine in your pictures and it looks warm. Here in Kentucky it is Cold,Gray and gloomy.

Meguiars Gold Class Car Wash
Wash mitt
Various brushes
Various microfiber towels
P21S Total Auto Wash
Steel Glo (Yes. the stuff that cleans pots and pans . Used for exhaust tips after initially cleaned with P21S)
Meguiar's A-3316 Quik Detailer Mist & Wipe
DI Fine Grade Clay Bar 100g
Glass Science Glass Scrub
Glass Science Rain Clear
Lake Country light green very light cutting pad 6.5"
Lake Country blue fine finishing pad 6.5"
Meguiars M205
Ibiz Car Wax
Meguiars tire shine
Invisible Glass
303 Aerospace Protectant
Vinegar (For windows. Barely removed any spots)
Soft Scrub (Used for very stubborn hard water spots on the windows. Surprisingly worked!)



Didn't really use any special techniques. Two bucket method, towel dried in the garage. Clayed, polished passenger side and removed water spots from windows. Soft scrub was my last desperate attempt and it actually worked better than Glass Science, Invisible Glass, and vinegar. Vehicle was then waxed and dressings were applied. I only took one 20 minute break, and that was for food. Once I start detailing, I'm in the zone. :buffing:

Looks great! The only thing is that it appears you may have missed a little of the tire while dressing.

nice work, I have a car with water spots on windows that have been there for months and now I cant figure out how to get them off

Soft Scrub as in the bathroom cleaner? Which specific one?

Soft Scrub with Bleach. Green label. It might be frowned upon, Idk, but I had to do whatever I could to get those spots off. But hey, it worked. Also I was careful not to get it on trim or paint.

Nice job. I use Griot's glass polish with a no.4 inch LC pad on a rotary set btw 900-1100 RPM. Go easy and take your time.:xyxthumbs:

Duragloss Nu-Glass works great on water spots on glass. used it by hand, which is really tiring, but cant wait to apply it be machine. check it out. good stuff!

great job on the exhaust tips! looks amazing!

in the final picture of the tire did you move the vehicle and forget to apply tire dressing on the upper portion, which was next to the ground when originally washing and dressing? just a petpeeve of mine. apply dressing, move car forward(or back) 1/2 a tire turn, and then reapply dressing.
