As some of you may know, I got a new truck about a month ago. A 2011 Ford F-150 FX4 with the 5.0L and 34k miles on her. This is only the second time I've washed her by hand, I know shame one me, other than the touchless wash. She now has 37k miles on her and I decided I'd clean her up a little before I head up to Michigan later this week.

- Washed and foamed with CG Citrus Wash Red. 1:2 or 1:3 ratio.
- Autogeek Quart Foam Gun, Meguiar's MF Wash Mitt.
- Tar-x'd and Iron-X'd.
- CarPro Hydro2 Touchless Silica Sealant on everything after washing.
- Dried with guzzler.
- Wolfgang Deep Gloss Liquid Seal on paint and trim.
- Duragloss 265 on tires.
- Removed Flex-Fuel emblem on tailgate and replaced it with a 5.0L Coyote V8 emblem.

No pics of Tar-X or Iron-X working because I was working in the sun. Windows had a little streaking from CarPro Hydro2 as a result of letting sit a little too long in the sun. I know you're not suppose to use them in the sun, but I didn't really have choice. Otherwise the Hydro2 is absolutely amazing. The way the water beads as you rinse it off makes it resemble a coating, water just falls right off.

Truck wasn't really that dirty before but here are some before shots from two days ago.

I have not corrected the paint yet, but it doesn't look like she need much correcting at all.:D

Thanks. Yeah, hopefully mine won't take that long. I'll probably just break it down and correct and Opti-Coat a few panels each day.

Still have a lot of work left to do to her before winter. She'll be ready as ever though when the snow starts flying again.

Love your new avatar BTW.:dblthumb2:

Looks ace, really nice truck.
Thank you.

looks good man!

While i love the silver, there isnt much that shines as nice as the burgundy/red of the old ford!

Great job Chris!!!! The paint looks very shiny!

Your F150 looks like a mean Tonka truck. Looks so sick!

Thanks. Yeah, I definitely miss the red when it comes to shine, but this silver is much easier to keep clean.

I'll give credit to the tires for making it look like a Tonka truck. haha

Looks sharp chris!

I love it, but you know I may be slightly bias ;)

Also the emblem replacement was a nice sleek upgrade -- I hate the term flex-fuel as it doesn't sound "tough" haha, coyote does though ;)

Those are some great reflections from a silver truck! Fantastic work... looks amazing!

Thank you.:xyxthumbs:

The truck looks great! Some wheel liners would clean it up even more. What kind of milage you getting with it? Im seeing mid 15s mostly city and almost 17 highway.

It's not just the tires but the front end just looks badass. The headlights, grille and overall shape all contribute to that menacing look!
