Thought I would do a quick review for newbies like me who wondered how dirty a car can be and still use a rinseless wash safely. The jury is still out on the safely part but since I am getting ready to do a full paint correction and coating on this car figured I would give it a shot. I want to reiterate that I am brand new at all this and in no way take any responsibility for saying this is a standard for how dirty and still safe to do a rinseless wash:xyxthumbs:

Products used were DP's rinseless wash, DP's rinsless wash also diluted in a spray bottle to be a quick detailer, two wash buckets(rinse bucket w/Grit guard), The black Shag microfiber mit sold here, and Meguiars D120 glass cleaner, Korean made waffle weave MF not from here, and a 500 GSM edgeless non loop deep nap also not from here. Poor Boys Natural Look dressing on the tires.

I want to preface that I live in Michigan and this car is a month old to me and I have never seen it clean except the day I bought it at the lot and I drove through a snow storm on the way home 3 hrs away. I have refused to take it through an auto wash and found you guys and discovered all these great products and methods to get around that. I have done my research and found one reputable place in town that has a touchless that they soften their water, filter it and do not reuse so it is about as safe as I can find to at least knock of the heavy stuff and salt during the dead of the winter. But as many of you may know, a touchless isn't even coming close to getting it clean. So this is what it looked like when I started...

I decided to pre-wet each section w/quick detailer to pre-soak and add some lubricity because to me the car was very dirty for my idea of the limits of a safe rinseless wash. As i washed a section i applied no real pressure and just did that section then stopped and raked my wash mit on the grit guard to try and knock off some grit then did my drying with my waffle weave. I would then spray the next section w/QD to soak then go back and buff the section I just dried w/the shaggy 500GSM MF towel which in my opinion was terrible for this job. I think I have figured out where a short nap MF would work well or a dual nap....correct me if i am wrong please. I would love to hear your opinions and experience on this. Overall I felt the Rinseless coupled w/the QD provided a nice lubricated feel to the wash mit as I washed the car. It never felt real grabby or that I was dragging dirt if that makes sense.

I am happy with the results seeing that the car was filthy with winter road grime. I am relieved to find that there is a way I can have a clean car in the winter months and not have some swirl-a-matic hammering away at my investment. I am hoping this will help a newbie like me trying to make sense of all these great products out there. I thank you all for having such an open, sharing forum...the willingness to teach and share on this forum is phenominal.

Here is what the car looked like after(sorry, lighting isn't that good in my garage). Thanks for reading, hope this helped someone.

He/she is looking good, your method/plan of attack wash good too though I would have used a bundle of 600 or greater gsm deep nap towels to wash the vehicle, and dried each section using a waffle weave towel but you are off to a great start so keep up the great work
