Detailfest

I had a question about Detailfest. I didn't go to this last one, but I am thinking of going to the next one. Is it just a get together where everybody brings their own products and just details together and gets tips and techniques from working with everybody else?? Or is it an opportunity to try new products and equipment?? Can someone who was at the last one share their experiences? Also, when will the next Detailfest be?? I know it won't be until next year, but is it in March?? Thanks in advance to all who reply. Take care. :cheers:
 
To answer your question, DetailFest last year went this way....
We had people detailing their cars in the back, KillerWheels and a bunch of the forum guys were helping out giving tips. :applause:
We had a pro here doing a demo on one of the forum member's vette.
Ohh yes, we had PIZZA. :awesome: And Max was here handing out products left and right to everyone. Everyone who attended got a free T-shirt and a chance to place an order with a nice discount! ;)
And for next year!!! We have not picked the date yet but it will most likely be at our new warehouse, which we are VERY excited about. No worries when the time comes we will have it posted on the forum first with all the information! :righton:
 
I'm sorry I missed the last one. Sounds like it was a blast. Did everyone come with dirty cars or already detailed rides?

Mike have you every seen a die-hard forum member with a really dirty car?!:p Everyone came with clean cars and they cleaned them again, actually only about 5 people did their cars that I saw.
 
lol Just curious. I wouldn't want to come with a dirty car because I would be to busy talking with everyone and checking everything out.

Mike I hate to do this to you BUT :p you have a bit of a wait! Looks like as of right now it will not be till after the first of the year! :mad: But I promise to make is worth the wait for you! :awesome:

i washed my car the night before detail fest... and then i washed it again once i got there.

oooo meghan forgot to add that everyone made fun of me and my wash technique like all day long. :D

ehehehehe I've heard about Harrison's washing techniques. But I'll bet in spite of his 8 wash mits and dozens of microfibers he probably produces the least swirl free finish of anyone! Cheers Neothin!! :cheers: You can wash my car anytime!! You'll just have to bring your own extra mitts. I only have 3! ehehehhee

Why not plan one informally somewhere in a park? We would need power and water. Any ideas?
 
I am not missing the next DetailFest!! I'll be more than happy to fly in from here in West Texas. Maybe even detail my rent a car! Keep me posted as to date & time.

Having been to the intial Detailfest I can only say that it was a nice success. It was small enough that everyone left with several free goodies, everyone had an opportunity to talk about products and technique, and most had an opportunity to detail a car. (Max gave me his daughters since I got there early and had the Vette redone almost immediately). Meghan was a little off on washes (easily 8-10) and several waxes and one testimonial Z06.

I too cannot wait for the next one, but next time I am sitting in the office watching speed channel with Max and Jason, neither of them broke a sweat.:p (just joking guys, they actually ran AG while we detailed outside). The product debut of Detailfest was the Ultra-plush and the talk of the town.

I heard there were some give-ways, but gosh, this guy is serious!
 
I would like to fly down to this to meet the Autogeek folks and all the others that attend this fest. What is the nearest big city airport and how far?
