So, this is the Toyota I bought not so long ago:

http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/off-topic/9328-bought-car.html

I have now started the detailing, so I thought it was smart making a thread in Show and shine section ;)

The detailing is going slow, because of the bad weather we have her now :( But today I did the interior, it came out good. Its some paint on the seats, that I can`t get out. (The car was used by painters)

This thread will be updatet every time I do something on the car! ;)

Interior:

Products used:

Megs APC cut 1:1 in a bucket
Optimum protecant
DG odor eliminator

Looking better Pirex. Is that the one that you took the decals off? This will be fun to watch your progress. Any plan for the paint on the seats?

The same car ;) Not sure about the seat..I don`t have a clue to how to remove it..I don`t think is possible! To old

pirex it look like you have you work cut out for you on the interior. I hope it stops raining soon.

Are you sure that you didn't paint that mirror? :P

BTW: Have you tried butter on the "painted seats?" That and a steam cleaner could get it out.

Nice job as always pirex :) Looking forward to see the outside of the car when you start with that!

Did you happen to wipe a camera lens with that towel and APC?:DJ/K...
Pics are blurry...

Thanks guys!

I've heard that butter takes paint and such right out. I used butter to get "sparkel" out of my seats. You should try it, just smudge your lunch out in the seats:P

Today it was not raining, so I was out doing some detailing on the Hiace. Just have the right side left, before LSP.

Detailing products used:

Optimum compound with metabo and orange LC pad
Optimum Polish with metabo and White LC pad

Not LSP today, sunday or monday.

Engine detail:

Dp engine degreaser
Optimum protecant plus.

Whats next to the paint: (Sparkie way)

First 501 by hand, wait to next day, then 105 by hand. Just one coat. Topped with AW!
