Taught my Friend how to clay a car today...

Well, we had just gotten back from angeles crest and his car was looking pretty (really) dirty. I said i'd wash it for him b/c i didn't take my car and rode with him.

we finish washing it (i have perfected the wheel cleaning btw haha :)), and i remembered that i had an old claybar (it wasn't completely gone, but i don't want to use it on customer's cars).

i gave him the basic idea of claying and showed him how to do it, and he went on to do his whole car while i fixed a couple holograms :D

I waxed the hood b/c i wanted to see how his paint looked, and after a few passes with xmt 4 and xmt 2, the keying that was on his hood is practically invisible!

anyways, here are pics (sorry, this was all done at night lol)

Basically,

Wash: DP Autobathe w/ schmitt
Wheels: DP Cleanse All, EZ Brush, AA foam spray

Clay: DP Clay/Lube

Polish: XMT4, XMT2

Wax:Just the hood with Natty's Blue
Before: we had been off roading, so his car was a mess

There was dirt like this all over the car

Anyways, hope you like it, it was fun to teach him how to clean a car, he wants a PC now

nice last pic, wished you had more pics of the final product. i know SUVs are meant for irregular driving (off-roading, etc.), but a bimmer? no! its meant for...wait for it..."elegance". :D

Wow started off with XMT #4 on a newer vehicle.
Looks great.

Very nice, I do majority of my work at night...I find it relaxes me...and gets me ready for bed :D

I like your garage, looks good.

Thanks for sharing.

the xmt4 was for the keying on the hood. in the last pic you can see a little bit of it, but it runs the length of the hood.

thanks for the compliments
