I've shared this a few times but I figured I would create a thread to make it easier for me and others to share it in the future... Maybe it will be helpful for people starting out in the business to get an idea of fair rates to charge for detailing services.

Questions, comments, feedback appreciated. I believe I can edit the document without breaking the link so any feedback will be implemented and re-uploaded.

Great tool and thanks for sharing! This will be extremely helpful to those starting out and trying to figure out price points.

Thanks! After I made this chart it was a major eye opener for how long things were actually taking me to do. It helped me focus on where I needed to look into new tools/chemicals/techniques to cut down on time spent doing a specific task.

Trying to explain Agile Methodologies & Scrum (for software design) is way++ outside the scope of these forums however there is a tool I've been using for the past several years both professionally and personally to plan User Stories (projects) and tasks.

http://community.rallydev.com

All of my wishlist projects for my car are outlined in this tool and one of favorite features is that it allows me to track the time estimates and actuals for a task.

I think a valuable tool for any person in a service-based industry is the ability to track both estimates and actuals for the work they do, as compartmentalized as possible, so they can continually refine future estimates.

I don't know what software already exists in this sector for that purpose but even if tracked on paper it will create a greater awareness of your proficiencies and deficiencies over time.

Just my two bits...
