Did I use the wrong polish ?

I have a 2008 Ford Edge in immaculate shape. The color , in 08 was called "White Sand Triple Coat" It's a very light cream with very subtle metal flakes. I do a full detail, strip, clay, polish, seal and wax twice a year. This year I polished with Black Light and a black pad. The car turned out very shiny and slick however you can hardly notice any of the metal flake. When I do this again in the fall what polish would bring out the metal flakes?
Here is what I used
Stripped with CG Citrus Wash, mixed to the stripping strength
Meguire's clay
Black Light as a polish
IPA wipe down
Wolfgang Deep Gloss Spray Sealant, 2 coats
Souveran Spray wax, 1 coats.
Appreciate any suggestions
 
Id give Meguiars M205, HD Polish, or Optimum Hyper Polish a shot. All of those likely have more cut than the Blacklight. Menzerna also makes some great polishes. Super intensive polish and SF4500 as a final jeweling step have given me great results.
 
Blacklight is not a polish - its a sealant. Theres a ton of different polishes available: M205, SF4000, WG Finishing Glaze, & CarPro Reflect all of which are excellent...

I would suggest using IronX to decon before/after claying...

Also, I would suggest using Eraser instead of IPA...
 
Blacklight is more of glaze than a polish. Has some sealant properties in it as well, but CG recommends using V7 with it, which is sealant type product as well, leading me to think Blacklight is more of a glaze.
 
Yeah, Blacklight is marketed as a sealant but can be used as a glaze and even a polish with light correction ability or so they say. A lot of CG products are hyped up to be more than they really are.
