Somehow this just didn't get read when you posted it on,

That would have been an early Friday morning.... sorry it somehow fell off the radar screen.

  • The M82 uses Diminishing Abrasive Technology
  • The M205 use Super Micro Abrasive Technology

Hang on and I'll post a link to an article I just wrote on this topic.

:)

Here you go...

The SMAT Pack - Everything you ever wanted to know about Meguiar's SMAT products...

The Aggressiveness Order of SMAT Products - This might surprise you!

Just to note, M82 would be on the less aggressive side of M205, that is to the right side as you look at this picture...

I am pretty sure the difference between #205 and #82 is 123. But I have been wrong before.

(Sorry, couldn't resist).

Mike,

Thank you very much, the article answered alot of my questions.
I ordered the #82 because the comparison chart showed it the same grade as the Pinnacle XMT Ultra Fine Swirl Remover #1 that I have been using. But now after understanding the differance between DAT and SMAT I wish I would of purchased the #205.

Anyone want to trade a new bottle of #82 for #205 ?
