Hi folks, I think i saw the answer to this somewhere but cannot find it anymore. Anyone know the difference in cut between these 3 ?

Uno Pure, Da Fine, Uno Protect

Thanks

My understanding is Uno Pure is a finishing or jeweling polish and Uno Protect is similar but also with a sealant. DA Fine is a fine compound that could also be the final polishing step though Uno Pure would give just a bit more finishing gloss. That is what I found based on my research of the products and trying to find reviews of the newest DA products. Really seems very similar to their previous products except the green pad was replaced by the blue coarse pad and the pads are slightly thinner.

Dont beat me up folks if this is a stupid question, but I have another question. Say I stuck with Uno Protect, and used a yellow pad with it, would using the white pad with it refine it more after? If so would I do the whole car with the yellow, let it cure and wipe off and then refine with the white pad and Uno Protect after ? or will there be no worthwhile difference ?

Probably but not enough to warrant buffing out your car a second time. Is this show car? Or your daily driver? Your time but if it were me, I would

A: Do a Test Spot - see which pad with UNO Protect gave bet results - (probably the yellow pad but never hurts to test)

B: Once I dialed-in my pad/product combo I would do a GREAT job of buffing the car out ONCE.

I think you'll be good to just go around the car once.

Its a daily driver Mike, but it never gets driven much, It just sits in the garage most of the time

Already did a Jeep using UNO Protect.

Hld...will get a picture up.

Did this Jeep 2 years ago----Was a huge hit.

Yesterday one of the co-worker said this correction looks 10 times better than it was 2 years ago!

And I agree! Thanks to UNO Protect!

And just realized I did not post the Jeep correction.

I tried a minor-correction polish from Shine Supply with an SiO2 base for ceramic coatings but it didn’t have enough cut so I used the new Rupes DA Fine polish with a DA yellow pad. It had enough cut to get all of the swirl marks in the paint of my used 2012 Acura TL. It wasn’t able to remove the RiDS (random isolated deep scratches) so I switched to Meguiars D300 Microfiber Correction Compound with a Thinpro orange correcting pad to get those out. I haven’t used the Uno Protect or Uno Pure but I’d say their correcting capability might be pretty limited.

I’ll also say Rupes DA Fine polished out well with a DA yellow pad but felt it likely needed a second pass with a white pad or Uno Pure or similar. At least with the burgundy metallic paint on my 2012 Acura TL it didn’t pop with just DA Fine.

And what do you think you used?

RUPES UNO Protect and Dr. Beasley's Z1 were both just recently released/launched in this year - 2020
