My first experience with a water based dressing was megs hyper dressing. They said since it was water base that you could dilute it to adjust the sheen.

I really like using Prima Nero. I spray a small amount on a wax applicator and gently apply it to interior surfaces. I've noticed when doing it this that the wheel is a LITTLE more than matte. Especially when doing a higher end car with Leather dash. The sheen is more shiny than the leather. So my question is, could I mix a batch that's a little watered down to reduce the sheen?

I am not a professional detailer, but that route would seem the most logical to try. My experience has been that if I dont like the amount of sheen the product gives me, I add or wipe off accordingly.
In the case of leather, I look for a leather preservative to use rather than an interior dressing, but this is just my preference.
Hope this helps.

You might want to try 1z Cockpit Premium. It leaves no shine, grease, or residue at all. Makes the surfaces look new without any dressing. The "brand new car" look.

Dilute away. I have a variety of 4oz bottles with various dilutions of product. An example is Car Pro Perl, I have four bottles 1:1, 1:2, 1:3 and 1:5 use them depending on the need and situation.

:whs: Just applied 1Z yesterday.

Talked to Nick at Prima today. He said I should just apply it and take a minimally damp cloth and wipe off the excess after a few minutes. I have noticed the reason why it is shiny is because I apply it with a wax applicator. I started doing this because I felt too much product was wasted being absorbed into microfiber. But too much is. Being left on the surface you're protecting. So if you wait a few minutes for the good stuff to absorb you could give a light wipe with damp microfiber to remove the excess.

Or, you could dilute like you suggested and make your product go further
