Ok. Let's see... x= ounces of water; y= ounces of solution
x+y =50; x/y = 20/1 or 20y=x or y=x/20
solve simultaneously
replace y in the first equation with what y equals in the second equation (x/20)
so: x + x/20 =50... multiply each term by 20 and... 20x + x = 1000 or
21x = 1000... divide each term by 21 and x = 47.619
going back to one of the original equations (x + y = 50), plug 47.619 in for x and solve for y (2.381).
2.381 ounces of solution mixed with 47.691 ounces of water
Now blast that sucker off to the moon!
