Mike Phillips I need you help. Doing a old GMC truck and yesterday I applied rocks in a bottle w/glaze additive. Stepped out to the shop early this morning and the shine was all over the floor after falling off of the truck. Where did I go wrong ? To save time I mixed my wash and decon product with the compound and glaze but surely that's not the problem. Also I'm having trouble with the wheel acid streaking on the steering wheel. Thanks in advance for your help and I hope you enjoy your first day in April my friend.

I have a friend with the same problem as you are. What he did was to get a 900 grit sand paper and scrubbed it against his '72 Camaro. He didn't use any polishes/compounds, just the sand paper. The result? It's like looking at a glass. Try it if it would work on yours!

BTW Happy first day of April.

Took me a bit to realize what you did there..."The Date" says it all.

Good job...

Must be a bonding issue....

For those that might not know, Paul's referring to an age-old topic about bonding...

See this thread,

Miscible and Immiscible - Wax and Paint Sealant Bonding

And this excerpt where I paraphrase an old friend,

I've never walked out into a garage only to find out that overnight the wax or paint sealant I applied slipped off the car's paint and piled-up on the floor surrounding the car because it didn't bond or stick to the paint.

:D
