Dish washing rubber floor mats?

You mean use dish washing detergent (Dawn, etc.) or put them in your automatic dishwasher?
 
No, I wouldn't do that, not in the dishwasher...I might put them in the clothes washer.
 
How come? I would think the tumbling would be worse for the mats and the washer. I'm testing the dish washer method on low and Eco dry I'll probably air dry them when the cycle is done. Find it hard to believe if Tupperware can withstand the hottest setting the rubber matts shouldn't have a problem ... I hope haha Land rover mats aren't cheap
 
It has nothing to do with the mats, I don't want grit in my dish washer, capiche?
 
I've washed carpet floor mats in the clothes washer and it worked well. With rubber mats why aren't you just scrubbing and hosing them off?
 
Lazyness... If I could throw the rubber mats in the dish washer while doing the rest of the interior it would save sometime.
