Anyone please answer. Early next year I am moving from Texas to Washington. I have a lot of detailing products to move in my truck. Do I need a permit to transport all my chemicals?

Probably, you need a permit for everything these days. if you are just talking store bought detailing supply's you should be fine. even if you do i wouldn't worry about it. I seriously doubt some state trooper is going to start cutting open your boxes while you're pulled over on the highway.

Do you have any type of heavy chemicals or are you talking about wax and polish?

Only detailing supplies I have purchased from Autopia and Autogeek and in stores.

You can transport them in your own vehicle, after all they are auto motive cleaning supplies. Or, you can ship them via UPS. However a moving company cannot take them.

Thank you for the information. Big relief for my wife

Political correctness has made history no worries

Box em up and label them "car polish" and no one will think twice.

Such a question would never occur to me, but I suppose Washington has more regulations than Texas.
Why are you moving from a free state

Because my wife will not move to Idaho. Her family and my family reside in Spokane. I know Washington is a liberal state. I would move to Idaho in a heart beat

Please explain how political correctness has anything to do with it? That term has no meaning anymore. It gets used for everything that people do not like.

If you want to satisfy all concerns get this label for the boxes your chemicals are in

They can't?

They likely can but will not. I just went through that myself......they won't take any open liquids or aerosols either if the items are going in storage.

I had an issue with a moving company refusing to transport my extensive matchbook collection. They were considered flammable and told me I had to self transport.

Ha, I used to collect matches. I have a shoebox or two of them somewhere.
