Hello All,

Last night i recalled that the midweek rinseless wash is due on my 2011 suzuki Alto. It's quite dusty here in Pakistan and since i live 1km from the Sea it's damn humid as well. This is the reason i do rinseless wash twice a week.

Comming to the point, Today early in morning at sun rise time i did ONR rinseless wash followed by Dodo juice supernatural Acrylic Spritz on my suzuki. 2 coats of Dodo juice purple haze were already sitting on it which was applied last weekend. So today i wanted to top up with the Acrylic Spritz.

Dodo Juice Supernatural Acrylic Spritz streaked really bad.

My process of application was to spray few squirts on the clean yellow foam applicator and then apply in straight lines. But when it flashed away I was like  It streaked really bad. Resultantly i got late for office because of wiping that streaking off

Why this might have happend?

I don't think there was any problem with my application method. I had successful applications in past through this method with different other spray sealants.

The Acrylic Spritz may not like the polymers from the ONR underneath?

Just a thought...

Dodo Juice Supernatural Acrylic Spritz has an almost instantaneous flash time so there is virtually no chance of it streaking or smearing.

I find that interesting given your experience with it!

Application of Dodo Juice Supernatural Acrylic Spritz doesn’t require any tips or tricks to be successful. Simply mist on to surfaces that are clean, dry and free of any dirt or dust, and buff off using a plush microfiber towel.

It sounds like that's not how you applied it. Unlikely, but maybe that had something to do with it..

You should apply it like you would a spray wax or QD - one to two sprays on the panel, spread with an MF towel, flip towel and do a second wipe. Given how you applied it - several sprays on a foam applicator, and then just applying without spreading or buffing off with a towel, I can see how it would streak, due to using too much product.

Thats how i tried to apply initially... that too did streaking. Thats the reason i changed the method.

And unlike what you assumed, i spread the product with foam applicator and then buffed off with soft microfiber.

I personally think humidity is the culprit. I might be wrong...

So let the ideas keep comming...

Fair enough - but again, how many sprays were you using per panel? I've found that a lot of people tend to over-apply spray waxes - like I said, usually one spray, in a sweeping motion, per panel is sufficient - two for the roof. As you say, though, it could easily be the weather conditions - high humidity seems to have a deleterious effect on most detailing endeavors.
