does anyone use steam cleaner for small areas

was gonna get air compressor but looks like vx5000 may be better investment.....just wanted to see if anyone was using their steam cleaner for nooks and crannies and if they have mobile set up what generator were they using

each has their advantages. personally, I chose a steam cleaner (the vx5000) For a variety of reasons including for nooks / crannies like you mentioned. I'm able to blast out stuff from all weird areas

I'm mobile and not having to carry a compressor frees up more space (i fit the steamer in a small plastic bin)

I do not have a generator (yet). If you purchase a powerful steamer such as the vx5000 then you will need a powerful generator to match. You will need to check the specs on any unit you're looking to purchase and go from there. I know that according to the distributor for the vx it requires 14amps of power, which is a lot of juice.

We use the VX5000 for blasting out cracks/stain removal/engines/nasty jambs/etc. Has been a great tool this year for us..... generator we use a 3500W from Home Depot (dont remember the brand) - that runs the steamer and vac at same time no issues.

thank both of you so much....yall just saved me about 700$ because a generator to power an air compressor would've cost a lot more and the streamer would be a 2 in one type tool....once again thanks
