I have a 6'' backing plate on rotory now that I use 6.5'' pads on. Can a smaller backing plate be put on for 5.5'' pads that I purchased recently for my UM polisher? Have some of you done that? What about the rpm speed, will that change also? Just curious about this. Thanks.
