Formulated for the detail shop that uses APC like a race car uses gas, Hi-Intensity APC Plus is a versatile, cost-effective all purpose cleaner that you can rely on to clean almost every automotive surface.

That statement right there sums up DP Hi-Intensity APC Plus. I could omit all the words that are about to follow this sentence, and let the pictures do the talking, but that wouldn't be any fun.

What is DP Hi-Intensity APC Plus you ask? DP Hi-Intensity APC Plus forgoes harsh chemicals that are harmful to you and the environment and instead relies on smart chemistry. DP Hi-Intensity APC Plus is strong enough to remove grease from engine bays, yet gentle enough to clean fine leather upholstery at the proper dilution ratio. DP Hi-Intensity APC Plus leaves behind a fresh citrus fragrance inside the vehicle.

When a powerful cleaner is needed for engines, tires, and fender wells – dilute 4:1. For light to moderate dirt and grime inside the vehicle, dilute 10:1. Feel free to play chemist in your detail shop and experiment with the dilution ratios! No matter the dilution, DP Hi-Intensity APC Plus will not leave a film on the surface.

The Victim - 2004-ish Toyota Corolla

A co-worker of mine just picked up a used 2004-ish Toyota Corolla with leather seats. I've tested many a new product on used cars before, and they almost always prove to be the perfect test bed for new products and/or to demonstrate products that already exist. Why? Because not many people clean up a used car before selling it. Someone else's garage is often another man's treasure.

DP Hi-Intensity APC Plus - 10:1 for interior cleaning

DP Hi-Intensity APC Plus is a concentrated cleaner. When a powerful cleaner is needed for engines, tires, and fender wells – dilute 4:1. For light to moderate dirt and grime inside the vehicle, dilute 10:1.

To clean the leather seats in the Corolla, I diluted the cleaner 10:1 with water in our 36 ounce Detail Bottle. To avoid creating a mess, I attached one of our Threaded Refill Funnels. These are nice to have, and they always come in handy when you need them.

What I love about this bottle is the fact that it makes chemicals easy to measure because all the popular dilution ratios are listed on the side.

Add water and voila! You have 36 ounces of ready-to-use interior cleaner.

Let the cleaning begin....

To create a powerful before and after photo, I put a piece of tape down to show the dramatic before and after difference.

Whenever you're cleaning something this filthy, you need to spray a liberal amount of cleaner directly onto the surface. I let the cleaner dwell for a couple minutes before agitating.

I like to use our 1 inch Round Detailing Brush to clean the cracks and crevices first.

The rest of the seat was cleaned using a Waffle Weave Glass Towel. Note: this is not the towel I would normally use to clean leather seats, however with it being white I knew it would show the amount of dirt and grime pulled off the surface.

After a couple minutes of scrubbing I pulled the tape line back and admired my work. The difference is HUGE.

Looks like a really good product.

What causes it not to leave a film behind? Would this be a comparable product to Ultima Interior Gel where after cleaning an interior coating can be used?

Awesome......I really appreciate how you guys are making products now, that can be used on all aspects of the vehicle...Helps save a ton of money, but more importantly, time.

Very nice. Even for the home enthusiast, this looks like a good deal. Being able to take some of the clutter off the shelves is a plus and most of us will get a year or two out one gallon.

Quality ingredients. :xyxthumbs:

Absolutely. However, I will say that I have no interest in shelling out a couple thousands dollars to have a seat re-upholstered in a BMW, Mercedes, or Jaguar, so whenever I'm cleaning aniline or semi-aniline leather, I only used dedicated leather cleaners, like Ulima Interior Shampoo Gel, Pinnacle Leather & Vinyl Cleaner, etc. Use (leather approved) all purpose cleaners for coated leather (the type of leather that's found in 99% of vehicles costing less than $50,000). This famous saying sums it up the best "better safe than sorry."

We're always open to suggestions and ideas for new products! :hungry:

Nick, did you test for color transfer in a hidden area first?
Or because of the dilution ratio you were able to go directly on the seat.

Now, the rest of that interior.

John,

I'm very familiar with the leather Toyota uses in the Corolla, Camry, Rav4, etc, so I did NOT test for colorfastness first.

If I were working on say, a Lexus IS350 with RED leather seats, then I would DEFINITELY check for colorfastness first (regardless of the cleaner being used).

You'll be happy to know that I gave the owner everything she needs to clean the rest of the interior. :dblthumb2:

This product got me intrigued and excited at trying it. Thanks for sharing Nick!

Is this product available for purchase in a smaller bottle or just the 128 oz jug?

Just the Gallon. I asked Nick the same question. It's a really great deal though it can fill like 30+ 32oz bottles at 10:1 dilution.
