DP Interior Surface Protectant

Has anyone used this stuff? I picked some up on the last BOGO and just went to put the sprayer in one and this stuff has a consistency of glue. There is no way it can be sprayed.

I'm sure you shook it up good.

In reading Mike's article on using DP products it has the consistancy of most interior protectants.

If you shook it up, and the spray head isn't clogged with the goo, call AG and let em know what you got going and I'm sure they will work with you.

Well I think I shook it up pretty good but I'll try again. The spray head is new and not clogged.

I tried it also and it is pretty thick. I just "sprayed" it on the applicator and used it liked that. But you can't really spray it like other protectants beacuse it is too thick.

been using this stuff for a few months now with no sprayer problems, can spray onto dash or applicator

It should definitely spray out of the bottle, it has a consistency of a hand lotion. I just opened a brand new bottle and it took quite a few pumps of the trigger before it would start to spray, I also helped it a little by squeezing the sides of the bottle to force some product into the siphon tube.

Hang on for a few pictures...

Took about 50 pumps and shes spraying now :)

Good to hear...

I just treated a dash that was in pretty bad shape with this and it really did a nice job bringing it back. Went from dry and dull to soft and shiny. It took a couple coats since the dry dash kept sucking it in but in the end it turned out really nice. The smell was much better then I expected it to be.

I had a similar experience. It did take a while to work its way up.

Make sure you open the nozzle almost all the way and just keep pumping. I got some on the BOGO and I love it! I spray it on a MF towel then work it in. Nice smell and looks great!

Just wanted to give a quick update on the dash that I tried this out on. Over 2 months now and the dash is still looking good and has not dried up again (dash has not been touched since the first application). This car is garage kept but sits out in full sun Mon-Fri 8-5. I am very impressed with this and glad I picked it up while it was BOGO.

Its a shame the DP brand isn't talked about more.

Again with another update

The dash is still looking and feeling soft and smooth where is was dried out. All I have done is give it a quick wipe down with a MF to remove the little bit of dust that was on it.

This is a great point and I wanted to see if someone mentioned it before I was about to.

Many times the nozzle comes shut off. By this I mean the nozzle is turned clockwise until tight so that nothing leaks before it gets to you the customer. Several times I'm scratching me head why I can't get a brand new sprayer to work and more often than not this is the root cause.

The Interior Protectant sounds very promising! Can't wait to try it out.

I have an entire shelf full of DP products and none of them have ever come with the sprayer attached. AG gives you the same generic white sprayer that they also send with their clear plastic bottles. They can be a pain to get started with sometimes. What I find works best for these is to initially open it almost all the way and then squeeze the trigger a few times (aimed away from anything I don't want the product on). This seems to draw the product into the tube better. It will produce more of a stream at first, but you can just dial it back from there so it will mist.

I think you will like it, just remember to pump the crap out of the sprayer to get it to work. BTW I almost forgot to put the sprayer in the box for you
