Ok, so as promised, here is my review from the giveaway thread with DP Power Wash, I'll review the Blackfire Total Trim and Tire separately and at a later date. (sorry all the pics are time stamped, I didn't think about it until I was putting them on the computer).

So here we go. I live in Mississippi, its hot, wet, and muddy. I have a farm about 30 minutes from where i live, so I'm frequently going down a gravel/dirt road which makes keeping a black truck spotless...well, impossible. The dirt is matted and caked on, it doesn't look bad from a distance but up close you can see how caked it is. Its been raining here for what seems like weeks with only a day or so in between rains, so there hasn't been much of a reason to wash the truck until now. It seems there are a few days of sunshine coming so i figured now would be a good time to wash it, test out the power wash, and review it, as promised. I've used it twice now, the first time, it rained the next day despite a 0% chance of rain.

Today was the first REAL wash with it.

as you can see, the truck isn't too bad, for a truck. but it has a pretty thick layer. of dirt.

I do not have a foam cannon, so two bucket wash for me! As per the instructions. Only two ounces.

Then with the hose with a strong stream...this is the foam. I wish i had a clear bucket to show the amount of suds with such little actual water. Literally the bucket filled with suds before there was probably a couple of inches of water.

No i'm not a janitor, I work at a hospital and got two of these brand new in a box, and they work great honestly. And free, can't beat that!

I didn't get any pics of it wish soap on the truck because it was just me, and i'm not a fan of letting soap sit on the truck.

Keep in mind I polished and waxed my truck back in April. I used M26 for my wax and nothing has been put on it since. Its been to the beach a few times and down dirt roads all summer. It beads up pretty good, but you could instantly tell this soap had carnauba wax in it just by the time I sprayed it off before drying, this is the beading that occurred.

Time to dry it. Yeah its Blurry, but its just a black and decker electric leaf blower. It works pretty well.

Now normally, I would dry it, then use a Megs Ultimate spray wax, as i was drying, but I didn't do anything but dry it this time just to test the soap and see how it would look. that and i wanted to take a picture before the sunset.

Here is the buckets after the wash. Dirty one is obvious, and of course bright green for the DP Power Wash.

So before the final shots, here are my thoughts on the DP Power Wash....

Its honestly the best carwash soap I have ever used. Super foamy and lathers extremely well. 2oz for an entire Silverado and honestly i could have done more. there was plenty left, i had to let the bucket sit there for a while after I took pictures for the Suds to go away so you could see the water in the bucket. The finished product. Its slick as can be. Smooth and glass like without any final spray. It smells good (kind of minty) which we all know is important! But most of all is the deep shine that you get from the carnauba wax in it. I've only gotten that gloss out of carnauba, though i am far from professional, It just gives cars/truck, especially black, a deeper feel to them. I'll be interested to see how it holds up. Obviously my truck is a daily driver and it has seen its share of dirt and gravel roads, but nothing major. I need to polish it again as you can see the light scratches in some areas, but the rock chips at the bottom of the doors are what gets me the most.

I will use this for my 69 Camaro SS after its polished and prepped for a show in about a month and will add to this thread with pics of it from there. I'm excited about the Blackfire trim and tire sealant too!

So for the final pictures of the wash. And I do mean JUST a wash, there was nothing put on it except wash with the DP power wash and dried with a leaf blower and absorber. It hasn't been waxed or polished since april either so i'm impressed with the beading and the reflection at the end. Here ya go. And thanks again AG for the giveaway! Ya'll truly have inspired me more and more every time i get on this site!

(No filters on the camera, taken with a Cannon Powershot SX40HS Nothing great but it works for me).

Nice review, looking pretty! How big are those tires? Must be a small fortune for them. :(

I appreciate it! I need to polish it again badly but for a DD it'll shine up alright. Excited to use this wash on some other cars. But this stuff is in a different league than what I've been using (Megs crystal & Megs ultimate wash and wax). It's going to be hard to switch to anything else now I can tell you that.

So, you say its the best soap you have ever used. So what have you used?

Stangfan, obviously I'm not a pro and most of you have used a lot more soaps (and other products for that matter), much more than I have. I have used the following soaps that I can think of...

- mothers gold class
- mothers gold class carnauba
- Megs deep crystal
- Megs ultimate wash and wax
- M62

And yesterday actually got to try out CG honeydew snow foam and DP xtreme foam because a friend of mine bought them both and I went to help him with his cars. Out of those that I have tried, Honeydew would be at the top of list along with the other DP and then the M62. Those 3 cleaned very well with awesome foam and suds, but none of them left the deep gloss that the power wash left. Yesterday we washed 3 vehicles (2 black and one a deep red color), we used honeydew on the red and one of the black vehicles and the xtreme foam on the other black one. They are all in great condition and well take. Care of but could use a paint correction just to bring out more out of the paint. All of the cars are less than 3 years old and none of them had more than 15k on them.

None of them brought out that shine and depth of the power wash. They all cleaned very well, and were much better than any of the OTC soaps that I've used, but the different comes in the carnauba that the power wash has in it I'm guessing. After you wash each section and rinse, you can see the beading is much better. It is suppose to help with not letting dust stick to the paint as well, resulting in longer periods between washes, but with where my truck goes, no amount of soap or wax is going to keep the dust off of it. I'm interested to see just how it goes after a longer period of time. If you think about it, it would seem the more you use something like the power wash, it should keep adding that protective layer over time. I'm wondering if it will just keep looking better or just keep it from looking worse. Either way. I love it and I'll be using it from now on.

I don't think I will use it before a correction or polish though. Since it does have that wax in it, I would think it would be counter productive. I'll probably use something else when that time comes. My Camaro will be the test with it and I may have to experiment using one on half of the good and one on the other before polishing and see if there is a difference.

By the way. I'm working on my review for the black fire tire and trim sealant...all I can say...is wow!

Cleanmycarolla...my bad I didn't even see your post. These tires are stock tires that came with it. They aren't big at all and actually too small since it's got a leveling kit on it. They are 275/55 20. I've been waiting to replace them until they are worn out, it's just dumb to me to take off brand new tires and put on bigger ones when these are in good shape. But this fall it will be time and I'll go up to either a 285/60 or a 275/65. It depends on the tire I go with bc they are all different. The new ones will run between 220-400 depending on the brand I go with. I don't go mud riding in my truck, that's what four wheelers are for, but I do ride around a lot on my farm in dirt roads and fields if I need to. So I don't need anything too big or aggressive

No problem at all. I was talking to a buddy of mine earlier about price. He was trying to argue about the price of it being about $20 when he can go get an OTC like Megs Ultimate Wash and Wax or Mother's Gold Class Carnauba for half of that and it work pretty well. There are two main differences that i've seen in that. 1. Yes, the others are cheaper and give you more soap (about 11-12 bucks for 48oz compared to DP's $20 for 32oz), BUT the difference is i used 2oz of DP for my entire truck (not a small vehicle, but a full-sized silverado). and it was still extremely foamy when i was done, if i would have sprayed the bucket again i could have kept going. When using one of the OTC soaps, i used MUCH more than that and had to put more in it at least once before i was finished washing. and 2. even with more soap being used for an OTC wash, it still has never produced the results i saw in DP's power wash.
