I ordered some dp rinseless wash and gloss for winter. So this morning I couldn't help myself. It's raining outside..no ones up...can't open the garge door and make noise right?

Tested out the rinseless wash. What a fun product. Works like a charm. I'm really excited to try it in the winter. So many times I want to wash my car but don't want to wake

everyone up. I can see this being more than just a winter product for me.:dblthumb2:

Several times I've said just this!:props:

In my testing and comparison DP Rinseless Wash & Gloss is far superior to Optimum No Rinse. I like the way it cleans, rinses, and dries to a glossy shine afterwards over Optimum No Rinse....:props:

just to be clear, are you speaking of the new formula ONR that was released lastyear ?

Because I own both product and prep a LOT of cars for carshow booths and tents and find the products to be very similar. In some category's one product is "slightly" more enjoyable than the other, but I would be very hard pressed to say that either of these products are "FAR SUPERIOR" to the other.

this summer I used about 1 gallon of each product and while I do have my favorite, the only thing that stands out to me and could possibly sway my decision on which to use on a certain day is that fact that the DP has a tendency to dry out my hands. While ONR has little to know noticeable effect on me.

I'm referring to the original formula offered by both Detailers Pride and Optimum.

I compared these 3 or 4 times in both summer and winter. My conclusion was the DP Rinseless Wash & Gloss provided better and more complete cleaning, better floating of debris from the panel, and a much nicer gloss once dried with a waffle drying towel.

Original formula I compared

  • DP Rinseless Wash & Gloss
  • Optimum No Rinse

New products offered by each manufacturer

  • Detailer’s Pro Series Rinseless Wash & Gloss
  • Optimum No Rinse Wash & Shine

:iagree: I've been an onr user since it came out, but ag sent me a sample of the dp and I must say, when I run out of onr I will exclusively use the dp for my rinseless washes. Amazing stuff.

Thanks for clarifying Bobby. :)

I'm with the DP as well. I use both because I wait until I get a bargain somewhere on either but given the choice I'd take DP as well. We had a brutally long winter last year and DP came through for me everytime where ONR was streaky at times. The older I get the less I tolerate finicky products no matter how good the result. Washing a car in 25 weather or any car product for that matter really shows it's worth when it's cold out and DP works great in every condition or weather.

I just used dp rinsless again. I should have taken pics. I used it on my wifes VERY

dirty/muddy Dodge Journey. I purposely did not spray off any access dirt. I used the two

bucket stragedy. That stuff works really good!! Plus got the brownee points from my

wife!!:xyxthumbs:

Bob the new version ONR is much glossier and better all around than the original.

My opinion is that both products (ONR & DP Rinseless) perform well.
I've experienced that even in winter month's(road salt) ONR is a EXCELLENT product for "rinse-less" washing:

I agree. It deepends on what I want to smell, berries or bubble gum. UWW+ works great as an NR too IME!

I agree. New bversions are both great. Berry (ONR) or bubble gum is what I use to decide!
