Do you guys dress you wheelwells.

Between coatings, and coated tires/wheels - I've sorta stopped dressing wheelweels. Different approach on cleaning/detailing regimine I suppose.

I do think when high exposed Wheelwells, like our suv, it could use a dressing now and then.

My go to favorites were Hyderdressing and for the Garage Queen / Weekend Toy Car, Adam Undercarriage.

I don't use any of these to dress the WW anymore as I don't want the overspray on my sio2 based finishes.

Yea I kinda know what you mean.. I don't spray the wheel wells prior to or in between any sort of coatings curing on the wheels & tires. But once they're done drying I see nothing wrong with spraying Hyper Dressing in the wheel wells.

I don't usually get much overspray on the tires anyways.. And if there's any overspray on the wheels then you're doing it wrong. Lol. Fine tune the spray nozzle and it sprays how and where you want it to.

If the wheels wells are large and plastic, I love using griots undercarriage spray. With newer non-plastic lined / felt lined type. Just APC and/or a pressure wash.

How long does the Griots undercarriage spray last

Dressing wheel wells tightens up the look,I don't think a water based dressing will deteriorate your coating and as well aerosol solvent. If it deos then switch to a different coating.

I buy 10 cans a month of griots trim and tire coat in a aerosol.with no rain 2 weeks no promblem.Or pull the wheels off and dlux the fender wells.

95% of the time, I just wipe my wheel wells down with Blackfire All-in-One Trim and Tire cleaner and dressing. It has the perfect sheen for wheel wells.

Is that the same as the undercarriage spray? I buy it in bulk. But, it seems to last quite a while. Starts off with a shinier finish and leaves a nice matte finish over some time.

Yeah I'll dress the wheel wells on suv/trucks, but on my personal car it sits low so it's a pain to take off the wheel and clean/dress the wells.

I think I'll just stick to spraying the BF Trim AIO. It works fine and last several weeks depending on the rain.

No it's a silver can with a red top.I don't think it says undercarriage on the can.I could be wrong though stuff is great.

This reminds me... Some young fool down the street was spray painting the plastic trim on his newish Camaro a couple days ago. He had his whole front end taped off with newspaper as he was down there spraying it. I was just like "what a clown.. Better not get overspray thanks to this dork" lol.

Seems like the roads are always under constant construction wherever we never expect.
Water overspray - wheel dressings is part of the reason I don't dress them anymore.

Try the sonax tire gel it dries to the touch and very durable great stuff love sonax.

On my Xterra, yes. It just completes the look. Hyper dressing 4:1 Spray and DONE.

I like to use the Chemical Guy's Bare Bones Undercarriage Spray. Works great on plastic fender liners.

Yes...at least to all areas
that are "easily" accessible.

I've sorta stopped dressing wheelweels.

To each their own regimen...:xyxthumbs:

•Is SiO2 damaged by strong acids
and/or strong alkalies?

•With what products do you clean
vehicles' surfaces, that have been
coated with SiO2-based Coatings?

Soap - Can't teach a dog new tricks. It's all about lubricity for me. I like Griots, but Duragloss is priced around the same or a smigen cheap and it just a lubracious. I will every now and then use Reset. I've yet to try the Gyeon variant of ~reset~

WW dressing for me is mainly suv/trucks. The latter are generally low and tight to fenders already.
Is there was a WW that looked great ~semi economical~ and did not wash out, maybe I might be dressing it more often than not in my regimine. Guaranteed to drive over water - construction, no matter where I go - it seems. I just hate the sling/runoff I get once it get's wet with said dressings I do like.

Megs All Season Dressing might work for you.

PERL 3:1 in the wheel wells. i like to clean and dress them after every wash, every time you drive the tires are kicking up all kinds of junk into the wells anyway...
